The War Measures Act and pro-Palestine protesters are about to get an unwelcome introduction

The colonial empire strikes back. Mass arrests and martial law are now openly being called for by the reactionary Zionist forces in the colonial periphery of Canada and the United States of America, in coordinated fashion with the ramping up of repressive tactics by the state, against pro-Palestine youth.

The Sith lords determined to crush this “unlawful” rebellion are many. They include former Jewish terrorist organisation member Meir Weinstein, who has explicitly called for invocation of the War Measures Act. They include Toronto Sun writer Warren Kinsella, who has echoed Meir Weinstein’s call for the War Measures Act in print. They also include disgraced MP Kevin Vuong, infamous for blaming China for having faced a sexual assault charge, who has used cryptic legalese to justify said War Measures Act invocation. And most notably, they include Liberal MP Marco Mendicino, the one infamous for invoking the Emergencies Act on the ‘Freedom Convoy.

The reaction by Zionist forces, the measures they’re calling for, and the disturbingly united solidarity with the right wing of the political establishment, particularly in the colonies of the United States and Canada, have given an ominous and impending signal of what’s coming next. In the context of a need to shut down opposition to the NATO ethnic cleansing plan, and in turn, shut down the rapidly growing popularity of Iran (0:00-0:12), the extensive toolkit of political repression has been activated. The renewed brutality of the colonial Canadian regime will test the mettle of the pro-Palestine movement, their commitment, and their readiness.

Meir Weinstein: A fanatical Kahanist’s threats

Meir Weinstein, despite being the Canadian chapter leader of an FBI-registered Jewish terrorist organisation, known as the Jewish Defence League, has extensive ties with the Canadian state apparatus. His association with ShomRim, which has connections to Greater Toronto Area police formations, allow him to not only mitigate the damage to ShomRim and former JDL members in protests when they engage in criminal misconduct, but also seemingly allows him to entice said police formations and ShomRim to target, dox, and arrest members of the pro-Palestine community at his leisure. His ties to ShomRim and the Police are covered in a previous article detailing the unfortunate doxing of pro-Palestine activist Tara.

Meir Weinstein, seeking to invoke all of his connections and resources for a rightist crackdown, is now calling for the invocation of the War Measures Act. He challenged Justin Trudeau’s courage using his father, Pierre Trudeau, reminiscing about the deployment of the Canadian Armed Forces in Québec in the 1970s. If it was merely the empty ramblings of a fanatical Kahanist, then there would be no cause for concern. Unfortunately, the right-wing among the elected officials, and the pro-colonial press, have begun to show agreement, and are using deceptive legalese to make their case for martial law.

The far-right Coalition: A combination of bloodthirst and legalese

Colonial newspapers such as the Toronto Sun now want to point the semi-automatic military issue rifles at the pro-Palestine protesters. Inspired by the US militaristic crackdown on Columbia University, the University of Texas Austin, the University of Southern Carolina, and the inevitable crackdown on George Washington University, the far-right and right-wing within Canada now wants Justin Trudeau to show the “courage” his father did and use the Canadian Armed Forces to wipe out pro-Palestine demonstrations. The pretext for such a crackdown was the utter refusal of the pro-Palestine demonstrators to accept the “NATO party line” narrative on what happened on October 7. The protesters refused to believe “All Women”, which is really just code for believe white Israeli women, and more specifically, a pervert run Israeli rapid response team called Zaka, as a prelude to a state lynching, or in Israel’s case, state sanctioned ethnic cleansing.

Warren Kinsella’s article, ironically, also spreads fake news about the pro-Palestine protests in Canada as well. Some of the unfounded accusations include:

  • Firebombing businesses and places of worship

  • Shooting up day schools

  • Attacks on police

  • Attacks on government officials

MP Kevin Vuong, looking for some sort of a legal pretext to justify the emerging far-right and right-wing bloodlust, posted a tweet essentially quoting Section 83.18 (1) of the Criminal Code of Canada, which stipulates:

“83.18 (1) Every person who knowingly participates in or contributes to, directly or indirectly, any activity of a terrorist group for the purpose of enhancing the ability of any terrorist group to facilitate or carry out a terrorist activity is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term of not more than 10 years.”

Unfortunately for him, the law is actually very clear on what actually constitutes “participating” under section 83.18 (1), and it’s written in 83.18 (3):

 “(3) Participating in or contributing to an activity of a terrorist group includes

       (a) providing, receiving or recruiting a person to receive training;

       (b) providing or offering to provide a skill or an expertise for the benefit of, at the direction of or in association with a terrorist group;

       (c) recruiting a person in order to facilitate or commit

       (i) a terrorism offence, or

       (ii) an act or omission outside Canada that, if committed in Canada, would be a terrorism offence;

       (d) entering or remaining in any country for the benefit of, at the direction of or in association with a terrorist group; and

       (e) making oneself, in response to instructions from any of the persons who constitute a terrorist group, available to facilitate or commit

       (i) a terrorism offence, or

       (ii) an act or omission outside Canada that, if committed in Canada, would be a terrorism offence.”

Conservative Senator, Leo Housakos, called pro-Palestine protesters “terrorists” outright, going further than MP Vuong. None of the actions of the pro-Palestine protesters would constitute “participation” in Hamas activities, even by showing vocal support for them, unless someone could prove that the pro-Palestine protesters were actually taking instructions from Hamas directly.

With the way things are developing in the Anglo-Saxon colonies, something as inconvenient as “the law” might prove to be irrelevant in the need to restore “order and security” in the empire. Liberal MP Marco Mendicino has already declared pro-Palestine protesters as “promoting terrorism”, and is always ready to issue a heavy hand, as he did with the Truckers.

Victor David Hansen and Tasha Kheiriddin: A bluff and a Challenge

The general attitude of the far-right and the right wing towards increasing poverty and deteriorating living conditions in the ‘Great Democracies’ of Canada and the United States is a eugenicist attitude. Jobs, quality education, and opportunities to improve one’s own quality of life should only be available to the heirs and heiresses, and among the diasporas, the compliant House Slaves who’ve accepted their ‘rightful’ place in the racial hierarchy and the white supremacist NATO party line.

Dr. Victor David Hansen, for example, openly shares this eugenicist attitude, and sees possible measures, such as holds on student visas, and federal racketeering charges on protester organisers, to deprive pro-Palestine protesters in North America of their education and job opportunities, as effective measures against, in his own words, “crybaby protesters”. He also makes generalisations of the participants in the protests, and sees the ring leaders, in particular, as part of the upper-class elite with no mettle, and no genuine sincerity, who will break at the slightest inconvenience.

A similar far-right writer in Canada, Tasha Kheiriddin, also belittles the sentiments of the pro-Palestine protesters as well in a National Post article. In her typical white supremacist attitude, one quote epitomises the article: “Not everything is about the Palestinians or the war in Gaza.” Kheriddin, a refined noble in Canada’s press, has finally had enough of the inconveniences caused by the “grievances” of the Arab and Muslim riff raff. She wants to tell the protesters that concerning Canada, a refined, ‘Great Democracy’, that “We have laws. You can’t break them just because you think you are right.” She also hints at an admission that the protest actions themselves aren’t even illegal, making a demand to the state that “..if our laws are not sufficient to deal with this threat, strengthen them so they are.”

The counterattack has arrived. Who is prepared?

“Arrests being made right now & will continue until the crowd disperses. These protesters belong in jail. Anti Semitism will not be tolerated in Texas. Period. Students joining in hate-filled, antisemitic protests at any public college or university in Texas should be expelled.”

The empire has struck back. NATO states are in fact now coordinating not only their repressive responses to the pro-Palestine protests, but are coordinating their pro-colonial propaganda as well. The government of Israel X account, for example, has denounced the readiness of the students at Columbia University to become “martyrs”. It remains to be seen whether that dog whistle against the Arab and Muslim protest organisers will be a boon or a bane on public opinion. The “martyrs” show of resolve, however, does objectively display a willingness on the part of the protesters to fight the repression no matter how vicious it becomes.

Militancy, however, is not the same as preparedness. Zionism, an extension of the white supremacist colonialism of NATO, is an internationally organised movement, with the power to tap into NATO resources at will. In order to fight Zionism competitively, a political movement needs to be well versed and knowledgeable in international politics, and able to avoid pitfalls that will leave them vulnerable later on. Many Sunni Muslim pro-Palestine activists today denounced the actions of Iran in Syria, including Deputy Editor of 5Pillars Dilly Hussain, accusing them of sectarian violence. Many ‘liberal’ feminists also denounced Iran for cracking down on the NATO coup attempt two years ago, after Mahsa Amini’s death. That propaganda is now being used by Israel directly against Iran. Russia, who was compared to Israel in their Special Military Operation by the pro-Palestine movement early on, has had their diasporas, particularly in Canada, stay silent on the Palestine issue.

NATO is a political party of white and European supremacy. It has a party line, and it is disciplined. Feeding into any of its talking points gives the party credibility in the political sphere, whether done intentionally or unintentionally. The name of the game for NATO is “divide and rule”. If NATO encroaches on a cause of personal concern, but the new victim fed into NATO’s propaganda in an earlier cause, said victim has potentially already lost allies and partners, and inadvertently, or perhaps even intentionally, strengthened NATO’s position. Avoiding such pitfalls early on, irrespective of readiness for “martyrdom”, will make the difference between the movement being ready, and prepared, to lead the way to a new dawn, and a new republic, or the movement facing disaster, and ultimately going the way of the Jedi.

“And the Jedi rebellion has been foiled. The remaining Jedi will be hunted down and defeated…In order to ensure the security and the continuing stability, the republic will be reorganised into the first galactic empire, for a safe and secure society.”
