We are a platform for critical investigation and analysis of Canadian foreign policy and the military-industrial complex. We are a proudly socialist, anti-imperialist news organization. Our primary goal is to investigate Canadian foreign policy. Since the site's initial founding, it has reached over 439,000 article views.
The Canada Files leadership team includes Editor-In-Chief Aidan Jonah, and Associate Editor Daniel Xie. Our Contributing Editor is award-winning journalist and three-time author, Arnold August. At The Canada Files, we are committed to assisting folks who have an investigation they would want to do, in turning their idea into a quality article.

Editor-in-Chief: Aidan Jonah
Aidan Jonah is the Editor-in-Chief of The Canada Files, a socialist, anti-imperialist news outlet founded in 2019. Jonah has broken numerous stories, including how the Canadian Armed Forces trained neo-Nazi "journalist" Roman Protasevich while he was with the Azov Battalion, and how a CIA front group (the NED) funded the group (URAP) which drove the "Uyghur genocide" vote in parliament to pass this February. Jonah recently wrote a report for the 48th session of the UN Human Rights Council, held in September 2021.

Arnold August is an award-winning journalist and author of three acclaimed books. His three books on Cuba-US-Latin America have been acclaimed by experts in the field. In 2013, he was awarded the Félix Elmuza Award by the Association of Cuban Journalists and contributes to outlets in English, Spanish and French in many parts of the world. He serves as a Contributing Editor for The Canada Files.
